You may have noticed a few changes on our Web site. We’ve been listening to your feedback over the past year, and we’re excited to unveil the latest revision of our Web site, which incorporates much of your feedback.
The most obvious change is a new design for the site. We think that this design makes the site easier to read and navigate since we’ve removed a lot of clutter and lines from the interface.
Another major improvement is a simplified and streamlined checkout process. We admit that the old checkout process could be a little confusing–depending on whether or not you were a new customer or a returning one, you saw a different sequence of checkout pages. And many people didn’t like being asked to log into their account straight out of the gate. We feel we’ve addressed both of these issues in the new checkout, which we think is faster, simpler, and easier to understand.
You asked for alternative forms of payment, so we’ve added PayPal as a payment option. Even though we store all customer and payment information in a secure environment according to industry-accepted standards, we understand that some customers can get nervous over the idea. When you use PayPal, all of your financial information stays at PayPal, and you save time because you don’t have to re-enter all of that information on our Web site.
We’ve also made a boatload of small improvements to various areas of the site. These changes include prominently displaying fabric compositions and origin information on product pages and displaying discontinued products within search results. We’ve also added this blog, which we’ll use to let you know about Web site upgrades as well as upcoming sales. We’ll also answer some questions that our customers commonly ask us, such as why a particular product is so frequently backordered.
Finally, we’ve made a host of behind-the-scenes technical improvements to the site. While you can’t directly see the results of these changes, you’ll notice an overall performance increase in the Web site.
